Roast Beef Gyro
3 oz cooked roast beef, cut into thin, bite-size pieces 90 g
2 tbsp fat-free plain yogurt 30 ml
1 tsp prepared mustard 5 ml
1 Roma tomato, diced 1
1/4 cup cucumber, diced 50 ml
1 tbsp red onion, diced 15 ml
pinch salt pinch
1/4 tsp black pepper 1 ml
1 whole wheat pita, halved 1
optional 1/4 tsp (1 ml) curry powder optional


1. Mix beef, yogurt, mustard, tomato, cucumber, onion, salt and pepper.
2. Place in a small, tightly sealed container if brown-bagging.
3. Insert one pita half into the other half. Wrap if brown-bagging.
4. When ready to eat, add beef mixture to pita.

Makes 1 portion.
